New Regency hires Legendary, Lionsgate execs

US film and TV prodco New Regency has appointed Legendary Entertainment and Lionsgate executives to its global sales team.

Marco Arabit

Marco Arabit and Samantha Cameron-Mowat have both been made VPs of international sales, reporting to Charlotte Thorp, recently appointed senior VP and head of international sales.

The pair join Thorp in New Regency’s London office, which was opened last year to increase international sales from the company’s film and TV libraries and serve as a hub for production activities. Arabit and Cameron-Mowat have been assigned territories within the EMEA region.

Arabit was previously VP of TV content distribution for EMEA at Legendary Entertainment, where he oversaw monetisation of Legendary content across all platforms, including linear TV and SVoD. Before that he held roles at Viacom International Media Networks and MTV Networks International.

Cameron-Mowat was executive director of sales at Lionsgate and was responsible for drawing income from TV and feature film distribution in German-speaking Europe and the Nordics. She also held positions at NBCUniversal and BBC Worldwide.

New Regency’s library includes Academy Award winners Birdman and 12 Years a Slave, in addition to blockbusters such as The Revenant, Mr & Mrs Smith, Heat, Fight Club and LA Confidential.
