Heart Beats will launch on Telefe imminently

A new musical competition format being produced by Israel’s Keshet International (KI) ^[1] and Telefe Argentina is top of Keshet’s slate for the Natpe market in Miami next week.

Heart Beats is the second format from the KI and Telefe partnership after the latter previously produced the Argentinean version of Keshet’s Rising Star, which sold around the world.

The new format seeks to pair aspiring singers and create new musical power couples. Viewers can vote via a dedicated app, with contestants also being shuffled into new musical and romantic couples each week.

The original Argentinean version will premiere shortly on Telefe, with pre-recorded episodes capped by 20 live weekly performance galas.

The show is the result of KI and Telefe’s co-development deal struck in 2015 and will be pitched to buyers at Natpe, which runs from January 17 to 19.

KI’s slate also includes the completed Indian version of KI drama Prisoners of War, adventure-reality format Welcome to the Wild, shopping gameshow Check Out and hidden-camera gameshow Deal With It Spain.

Prisoners of War India is an Indian telenovela based on the Israeli original series Hatufim, which was later remade by Showtime in the US as multi-award-winning returnable drama Homeland.

Docureality series Boxed, a format that aims to mediate and find solutions to real-life disagreements, is also on the slate.
