Netflix exec, Seibert to keynote MipJr

Netflix’s head of global kids’ content Andy Yeatman and media veteran Fred Seibert will be among the keynote speakers at MipJunior in Cannes in October.

Yeatman, who has been with the global streaming giant since 2011, will be by joined Seibert, founder of Frederator Networks, at the event on October 14-15 at the Marriott Hotel.

In their respective sessions, Yeatman and Seibert will share their vision of the future of the kids’ industry in an on-demand environment, according to event organiser Reed Midem.

Seibert is also the chief creative officer of Wow! Unlimited Media, which was formed by the merger of Frederator, Rainmaker Entertainment and Ezrin Hirsh, founded by Bob Ezrin and Michael Hirsh, last year.

Yeatman, meanwhile, leads the kids and family programming team for Netflix globally, covering all original and licensed content for 2-12s.

The firm recently released an interactive episode of its animated series The Adventure of Puss in Boots.

It requires the viewer to choose the direction of the story, for example, whether Puss should meet angry bears or friendly bears, and the episode can last between 18 and 39 minutes depending on the route taken.
