Netflix revisits Friends from College

Friends from College is getting another eight episodes

Netflix has commissioned a second season of its original comedy series Friends from College.

Co-created by married duo Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, the 8×30’ second run will bring the total number of episodes to 16.

Friends from College follows a group of friends who met at Harvard University as they prepare for life in their 40s. Featuring interconnected and frequently difficult relationships, the show is a study of old friendships, past romances and juggling the demands of adulthood while yearning for bygone days.

It stars Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele, Fargo) and Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother).

The show is directed by Stoller, who has helmed movies including Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek and the Bad Neighbours franchise, and is written by Delbanco, with both also serving as executive producers. Stoller Global Solutions is the production company.

Friends from College’s second run comes soon after Netflix renewed two other originals, crime drama Ozark and wrestling comedy Glow.
