Netflix orders Sykes, Epps comedy

Global streaming giant Netflix has ordered a multi-camera comedy series starring comedians Wanda Sykes and Mike Epps.

The Upshaws centres on a struggling working-class African American family living in Indiana.

Sykes (Wanda Sykes: Not Normal) and Epps (Dolemite is My Name, Only One Mike) are both executive producing the show, with Sykes also serving as co-showrunner.

Showrunner Regina Hicks (The L Word, Insecure) also exec produces alongside Dan Spilo, Niles Kirchner and Page Hurwitz..
