Netflix nabs Imira’s Magic

Netflix and Cartoon Network in Latin America are amongst those to have picked up shows from children’s production and distribution outfit Imira Entertainment.

The Hero of Color City

The US SVoD service has taken live-action show Magic Beyond Words (1×90’), about JK Rowling, along with sleuth series Fairytale Detective (53×13′) for Latin America.

The Turner Broadcasting channel has picked up Gaturro (1×90’), which tells the story of two cats that fall in love.

Elsewhere Discovery Latin America will air The Hero of Color City (1×77’), about the magical adventures of a box of crayons, while Imira has also agreed a four-film deal with DirecTV. It’s picked up The Living Forest, Crab Island, Entre Vivir Y Soñar and El Habitante Incierto for Hispanic USA, as well as four seasons of animated comedy Rat-a-Tat (156×7’).
