NBCUniversal solves The Murders in Europe

NBCUniversal (NBCU) International Networks has acquired the rights to air procedural drama The Murders on its channels in Europe and Africa.

The series is being produced by Muse Entertainment for Rogers Media-owned CityTV in Canada and will now air on Universal TV in the UK and Africa and on 13th Street in France, Spain, Germany and Poland.

The 8×60’ series was created by Damon Vignale and is distributed globally by About Premium Content, which sealed the deal with NBCU.

The plot follows a rookie homicide detective played by Jessica Lucas (Gotham) who makes a critical error on the job, with fatal consequences.

It’s the latest in a series of recent acquisitions by NBCU International Networks following its pick-up of Kelsey Grammer-fronted legal drama Proven Innocent for Universal and A+E Networks’ Project Blue Book for Syfy in the UK.
