NBCU exec joins Eleven as COO

London-based TV prodco Eleven has appointed the VP of business affairs for scripted at NBCUniversal as its chief operating officer (COO).

Dan Cheesbrough has joined The Enfield Haunting producer to advise on strategic direction as well as oversee production, finance, commercial and operational functions.

He will be tasked with growing the company’s status in the UK and US, as well as other key international territories.

Kate Murrell

Meanwhile, Kate Murrell has been named head of production by the company’s co-founders Jamie Campbell and Joel Wilson.

Murrell will oversee the development, production and delivery of all Eleven’s drama projects. She is currently working on Foreign Bodies, a forthcoming comedy from Eleven for Channel 4, eOne and TNT.

Eleven was one of the UK prodcos to receive investment from Channel 4’s Growth Fund in 2014, when the corporation took a minority stake in the business.
