NBCU calls in CBC’s Coroner

NBCUniversal International Networks (NBCUIN) has acquired rights to air CBC procedural drama Coroner around the world in a deal with distributor Cineflix Rights.

The 8×60’ female-driven procedural was produced by Muse Entertainment, Back Alley Films and Cineflix Studios in Canada for local pubcaster the CBC.

Created by Rookie Blue and Saving Hope’s Morwyn Brebner and inspired by the bestselling books of M R Hall, the show follows a newly appointed coroner investigating suspicious deaths in Toronto.

NBCUIN will air the series on its channels in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Africa, Latin America, Brazil and Australia from late 2019.

The company’s networks include Universal TV, Syfy, E! Entertainment Television, 13th Street, Diva, Studio Universal, Telemundo, Bravo, DreamWorks and Golf Channel.
