The five additions, effective immediately, are: NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises executive VP Peter Blacker; Viacom Digital Studios president Kelly Day; All3Media International CEO Louise Pedersen; MAG managing partner Shahid Khan; and Verance CEO Nil Shah.

The new board members were jointly announced by Andy Kaplan, NATPE chairman of the board, and JP Bommel, president and CEO of NATPE. Each new appointee will serve a term of three years.

The organisation said the five leaders joining its board “demonstrate a wide variety of direct and relevant experience within the current evolution of the content marketplace.”

NATPE’s flagship event – NATPE Miami – is scheduled for January 21-23, 2020 at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami, Florida.

JP Bommel

“Given the current market dynamics, the NATPE board is emboldened by the addition of five leaders in their respective fields. They have first-hand experience of the profound industry disruption taking place today and have demonstrated excellence in adapting quickly to these changes,” said Bommel.

“Our board is stronger than ever, now that these important voices have been added to the content conversation that is central to our organisation. This upcoming year is set to be one of the most important in media, and the worlds in which NATPE lives are intersecting like never before,” added Kaplan.
