Nat Geo Wild enters Savage Kingdom

National Geographic Wild has commissioned a natural history miniseries from UK prodco Icon Films and Natural History Film Unit Botswana, with narration from Game of Thrones star Charles Dance.

Savage Kingdom looks at warring animal clans, including lions, leopards, hyenas and wild dogs, as they battle for survival in a remote region of Africa that is drying up after years of flood-soaked abundance.

Shot in 4K, the 3×120’ series features episodes titled Clash of Queens, Army of Darkness and Big Game of Thrones.

Each episode is told from one predator’s point of view in what Nat Geo says is “character-driven storytelling that seems like scripted drama.”

Dance will narrate the series, which begins on November 25 and will air across 134 countries and 37 languages on Nat Geo WIld.
