Nat Geo ventures into Predator Land

Predator Land will air on Nat Geo World in more than 160 territories

National Geographic has picked up a three-part factual series about Africa’s iconic predators for its Nat Geo Wild network around the world.

Predator Land has been acquired from UK distributor DRG and will now air on Nat Geo World in more than 160 territories from next month.

The 3×60’ series was produced by South Africa’s Obsessively Creative and studies the hunting techniques, diet and lives of predators including lions, leopards, wild dogs and cheetahs.

Predator Land was filmed in the wildernesses of the Luangwa Valley, the Kalahari Desert and the Kruger National Park, and also features the latest scientific research findings about how predators and their prey interact.

The deal was struck by Scott Kirkpatrick, DRG’s senior VP of North and South America, collaborating with Lauren Billingsley, National Geographic’s manager of global acquisitions.
