Hippos do battle in Africa’s Hunters

MIPCOM: National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) has signed a volume content deal with Canadian distributor Blue Ant International, including presales covering 12 hours of 4K docs.

The 4K presales include Love Nature’s Camp Zambia II (Africa’s Hunters, season three, 6×60’) and its sequel Camp Sri Lanka (Island of the Monsoon, 4×60’). They also include Land of the Secret Bear (1×60) and Operation Elephant (1×60).

A large slate of licensed factual content under the deal includes seasons one and two of Africa’s Hunters (12×60’), Coastal Africa (4×60’,4K and HD), Great Blue Wild (6×60’, 4K), Land of Gremlins (3×40’, 4K) and Undiscovered Vistas (8×60’,4K). The last four titles are destined for Nat Geo Wild in Japan.

Blue Ant International is the distribution arm of the rapidly expanding Blue Ant Media, which bought David Haslingden’s Racat Group in May and recently revealed a global networks arm.
