Nat Geo nabs 9 Story kids trio

Let’s Go Luna! was commissioned by PBS Kids

Nat Geo Kids in Latin America has picked up three series from Canadian distributor 9 Story Distribution International, including forthcoming preschool animation Let’s Go Luna!.

Produced by 9 Story Media Group’s Brown Bag Films, Let’s Go Luna! (79×11’) follows the adventures of a trio of friends, – a wombat from Australia, a butterfly from Mexico and a frog from the US – as they explore cultures around the world with their parents’ travelling performance troupe.

The series was commissioned by PBS Kids last year and is due to debut later this month.

Fellow animation The Diary of Bita & Cora, from Spain’s TV ON Producciones, centres on the titular best friends-cum-explorers who crash-land on a strange planet which they then set out to investigate.

Finally, Finding Out Stuff is a science-themed live action series which gives children the answers to the questions that really matter to them most. The show is produced by Canada’s Apartment 11.

Nat Geo’s deals for the three programmes cover broadcast rights for Latin America, including Brazil, and the Caribbean.
