Nat Geo goes Wild for Great Britain

Wild Great Britain

National Geographic Channel has taken the global pay TV rights, excluding the UK and the US, to a wildlife series narrated by Downtown Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville.

Wild Great Britain (8×60’) will be presented by Nat Geo as a 4×60’ series across its global channels.

Produced by Bristol-based Plimsoll Productions for Channel 5 in the UK, the show explores the variety of wildlife in the British Isles and was filmed over a year.

UK-based rights management company Magnify Media is the distributor. The Nat Geo agreement was brokered by the firm’s sales exec Chris Bartlett and National Geographic’s director of global acquisitions Ben Noot.

Magnify was launched by former DRG exec Andrea Jackson in 2016 and Grant Mansfield’s Plimsoll Productions took a stake in the business later that year.
