Nat Geo explores Italy, Argentina

National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) has acquired two versions of a travel and lifestyle series set in Italy and Argentina for its Nat Geo People channel in Asia-Pacific.

Rustic Adventures: Italy and Rustic Adventures: Argentina will air on Nat Geo People across Asia following a deal between NGCI and Toronto-based distributor Breakthrough Entertainment.

The distributor has recently secured a number of other deals in the region. Brand New Media has bought the series Boundless, Sea Nation and Man on a Mission for its channels in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Elsewhere, Breakthrough has added the documentaries The Clean Bin Project (1×60′) and A Day Without Cancer (1×75′) to its slate ahead of ATF in Singapore.

The two docs explore efforts to go an entire year without creating any waste and the ongoing mission to conquer cancer, respectively.
