My Entertainment preps Vegas doc

US-based production outfit My Entertainment has signed a development deal with Las Vegas District Attorney Steve Wolfson for a behind-the-scenes documentary series.

The deal, agreed after year-long negotiations, grants unprecedented access to My Entertainment to produce a real-time docuseries in the Clark County District Attorney’s office.

The show will reveal the inner workings of the DA’s operations and explore how real-life cases are decided, fought and won. Wolfson and his team of more than 160 prosecutors manage up to 55,000 cases annually.

“The idea for the show came about as a result of the huge interest in programming from Vegas and the success of crime shows,” said Michael Yudin, MY Entertainment CEO. “Combining these two factors with the personality of DA Steve Wolfson presents a unique opportunity.”

This is the first development deal for My Entertainment since the recruitment of news and reality producer Wilson Surratt as its new senior VP of development in September. My Entertainment was formerly known as My Tupelo Entertainment.

The show is being produced in association with Wayne Allen Root’s Cool Hand Root Productions. No broadcaster is yet attached.
