MultiChoice takes new trio to Africa

The Real Prime Suspect joins CBS Justice launch line-up

South African pay-TV provider MultiChoice has added three new channels – CBS Justice, CuriosityStream and Euronews – to its satellite platform DStv.

Crime channel CBS Justice will feature a selection of original and acquired programming. The launch line-up will include global original commissions such as The Real Prime Suspect, Donal MacIntyre’s Murder Files, Secrets of a Psychopath and Evidence of Evil as well as acquisitions Cold Justice, Fame Kills and Stalker!

CuriosityStream, the factual streaming service founded by Discovery founder John Hendricks, has also been added to DStv. The channel will be debuting across sub-Saharan Africa with a catalogue of established originals including Deep Time History, Age of Big Cats and The History of Food, as well as forthcoming exclusive titles.

The third channel, news outlet Euronews, will be made available to viewers across Southern Africa via DStv, DStv Premium, Compact+ and Compact & Family packages.

All three channels will all be available on DStv across Africa from November 21.

The DStv debut is one of three international launches for CuriosityStream announced this week. Sky in New Zealand is launching the service on its streaming platform Neon and via the on-demand section on Sky TV. Cable Bahamas added CuriosityStream to its REV TV package on November 11. The service is also available on the REVGO Play platform for viewers on the go.
