Viacom-owned MTV has appointed an exec from Lifetime to oversee the brand and creative output of sibling network MTV2.

Eli Lehrer becomes exec VP at MTV2 with a remit that covers the brand vision, voice and creative pipeline of the network, reporting to MTV chief Sean Atkins.

He has also worked in development at Bravo and at MTV sister network VH1, and joins along with former Major League Baseball marketing chief Jacqueline Parkes, who becomes exec VP of marketing and creative across MTV’s portfolio.

Lehrer’s appointment follows the departure of Chris McCarthy, who became general manager at VH1 last year, and the arrival of Michael Klein, who joined as exec VP of original content in March from Conde Nast Entertainment.
