MSNBC preps life-changing original

MSNBC’s Lockup from 44 Blue Productions

US news channel MSNBC is preparing the second show to come out of its Originals banner, featuring people who had seconds to make a choice over life-altering decisions.

Split Second Decision, which includes scenarios such as escaping a capsized ferry and surviving a wildfire, is produced by MSNBC and Gurin Co.

Viewers will be shown a series of harrowing steps during a crisis and given the chance to make life or death judgments in real time.

The show debuts on November 12 and is being executive produced by Jessica Winchell Morsa for MSNBC, which has been extending its Originals documentary programming strand of late.

The channel, which airs less news late at night and weekends opening the way for original factual programming, is known for its prisons series Lockup from 44 Blue Productions.
