Motorvision TV drives expansion

MIPTV: Thematic German channel Motorvision TV and its parent Motorvision Group have sealed five international distribution deals propelling the brand further into Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the US.

Luxembourg telco Post will make Motorvision’s German channel and its pan-European feed available in French on the PostTV network. The channel will also carry live broadcasts for the first time.

OTT provider Intigral in the MENA region will launch Motorvision’s English-language HD channel on its streaming service Jawwy TV in the Middle East.

Motorvision has also linked up with OTT provider iflix in South-east Asia, giving it access to 15 million customers. The deal will include ad-funded shortform content, premium on-demand programming and the Asian feed of Motorvision’s pay TV channel.

Separately, Motorvision has entered South Korea for the first time, adding its content to Korea Telecom’s VoD platform. The pact includes flagship automotive shows, lifestyle magazine series Supercars, off-road show 4×4 and Go Green.

Finally, Motorvision has signed up to supply its shortform content and a selection of premium shows to US AVoD platform XUMO, which is integrated into 20 million-plus smart TVs and is also available on Roku devices and mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Motorvision’s CEO Raimund Koehler said being flexible and owning all the rights to its productions is paying off for the company. “We can offer our partners the best product possible, be it shortform content for digital platforms, a diversified show portfolio for emerging OTT services or our linear channels with live sports for established and new entertainment providers,” he said.
