Mongolia’s EduTV, TV9 bag gameshows

Mongol TV’s local version of Gogglebox

Mongolian broadcasters EduTV and TV9 have acquired the rights to gameshow formats from UK-based distributor All3Media International.

Free-to-air (FTA) net EduTV has taken remake rights to Cash Mob, with local outlet Hulegu Pictures commissioned to make a 20×30’ run of the show.

EduTV has also ordered a second season of Cash at Your Door, following the success of the format’s opening season earlier this year. Hugelu Pictures is again on production duties.

Meanwhile, fellow FTA broadcaster TV9 has acquired the rights to Cash Cab for a local remake and will produce a 12-part season in-house.

Production and broadcast dates for the new commissions above have yet to be confirmed.

In related news, Mongol TV is due to produce its 10th season of its version of All3Media-distributed reality format Gogglebox. New episodes of the series are due to air on the broadcaster later this month.
