Mongol TV goes Dancing with the Stars

The BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, known worldwide as Dancing With the Stars

Mongolian broadcaster Mongol TV has ordered a local version of hit competition format Dancing with the Stars from BBC Studios.

Marking the 60th territory to license the entertainment format, Mongol TV’s 13-part version is set to air in early 2021.

Created by BBC Studios, Dancing with the Stars, known as Strictly Come Dancing in the UK, premiered on BBC1 in 2004.

The first international version was made for Australia’s Channel 7 that same year, before the format took off in countries including the US, India, South Africa and Russia.

Over 350 series and 4,000 episodes of the format have aired across the globe to date.
