Moll, Cineflix link for unscripted

ABC Family reality series Becoming Us

North American producer Cineflix Media has signed a first-look deal with the creator and executive producer of ABC Family reality series Becoming Us.

The multi-year pact gives Cineflix the first option on all new unscripted and scripted content developed by LA-based George Moll.

Moll will work with Cineflix’s development team, led by Dave Hamilton, on new content, while UK-based Cineflix Rights will have the option to distribute Moll’s content exclusively.

The showrunner’s credits include transgender series Becoming Us, which began airing on ABC Family, now known as Freeform, in June last year.

Other credits include To Tell the Truth for ABC, Final Offer for Discovery Channel, Rock the Cradle for MTV and Behind the Music for VH1.

Cineflix Media co-founder and co-CEO Glen Salzman said that the partnership was part of the company’s continued efforts to diversify and expand its programming slate.
