Miss Universe retains global appeal

Broadcasters in Australia, France and Hong Kong are among those that have acquired the TV rights to the upcoming Miss Universe pageant from US-based Alfred Haber Distribution (AHDI).

The 62nd edition of the beauty contest will be held for the first time in Moscow, Russia, this Saturday and will air on US network NBC.

AHDI has sold the two-part special to numerous broadcasters worldwide including: Seven Network (Australia), Paris Premiere (France), Star Television (Hong Kong), Fox International (Japan), Televisa (Mexico), ABS-CBN (Philippines), Turner International (Latin America), TV2 (Denmark), Rede Bandeirantes (Brazil), M-Net (Africa), Caracol (Columbia), LBC (Middle East), Bangkok Broadcast (Thailand), Venevision (Venezuela), Zoom/ET Now (India), and Dogus Yayin (Turkey).

The Miss Universe Organization is a joint venture between US billionaire Donald Trump and NBCUniversal.
