Millionaire returns to ITV

ITV1 in the UK will pair up celebrities with members of the armed forces for a special Remembrance Day edition of its long-running quizshow Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Sony Pictures Television-owned Victory Television has been commissioned to produce three hour-long specials, including one to mark Remembrance Day next month. The other two editions will be aired in December and January.

Money won by celebrities and members of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force will be donated in full to benevolent funds representing the three sections of the British Armed Forces.

The three new shows follow in the footsteps of three Millionaire summer specials broadcast earlier this year. They were commissioned by Layla Smith, controller of entertainment at ITV, and will be executive-produced by Victoria Ashbourne, from Victory Television.
