Mike Young and Telegael ink second toon copro

LA-based toon producer Mike Young Productions has revisited its partnership with Irish facility-turned-coproducer Telegael for a new animated series aimed at the seven-eleven set.

Through its associate company Media Finance & Investment (MFI), Telegael has come onboard MYP's new 26×11' series Dumped. Set in an old refuse site, the 2D toon follows the adventures of a bunch of broken discarded toys.

MYP will be at MipTV distributing rights to the series, its second copro with Telegael. Its first union with the Galway-based outfit resulted in Scholastic's Horrible Histories series.

Other new projects on MYP's slate include Dive Olly Dive! (pictured), a 52×11' cgi series that follows the eponymous toy submarine through the magic of a child's bathtub.

{To preschoolers, the bathtub has always been a sea of adventure,{ said the show's producer Liz Young. {Now there's a TV show that proves them right.{

MYP is also coproducing The Curley Tales of Piggley Winks with London and Dublin-based Entara and New York PBS affiliate WLIW. The 26×26' cgi series features a family of Irish pigs, with MYP handling international distribution.

Butt Ugly Martians, which MYP coproduced with Just Group and DCDC, will also be on the MipTV slate. The cgi adventure has previously been sold to Nickelodeon (US), Rai (Italy), ITV (UK), Super RTL (Germany), Fox Kids (Australia, Israel) and Teletoon (France, Canada).

The show was previously distributed by Just Group, now in the hands of administrators.
