Shine Nordics, as the division will now be known, is headquartered in Stockholm and comprises 12 companies that will all retain their own identities.

“The desire to change name came from the MDs within the Metronome Group, who unanimously felt that Shine Nordics is both simpler and more relevant to their business in 2014,” said Gary Carter, Shine Group chairman of Northern Europe.

“Shine Nordics clarifies the relationship to the parent company and better reflects the companies’ role within a truly international production group,” added, who arrived last year following his exit from FremantleMedia.

The division consists of nine production entities: Meter Television, STO-CPH Produktion, Filmlance International and Friday TV in Sweden; Rubicon TV and Metronome Spartacus in Norway; Shine Finland (rebranded from Metronome last year); and Metronome Productions and Heartland in Denmark.

The rebrand follows a series of senior management changes across a number of these companies over the past year.

Milla Bruneau, MD of Metronome & Television in Finland, left for Yellow Film & Television and was replaced by Tarja Pääkkönen as part of the rebrand to Shine Finland; Kent Nikolasjsen replaced Merete Mortensen as MD of Metronome in Denmark; Lasse Hallberg, the boss of Rubicon TV and Metronome Spartacus was dismissed; and Friday TV MD Pers Blanken was drafted to the US as the new exec producer on American Idol.

The spot Blankens vacated was filled earlier this week by Marika Makaroff, previously MD of FremantleMedia in Finland.
