Metan takes Hollywood to China

US media company Metan Development Group is adding content from its programme catalogue to 10 online video portals in China.

MSN, Sina and Sohu; video-sharing portals Tudou, Youku, Ku6, 6.cn, Vodone and 56.com; and client-based video streaming site UUSee will all receive weekly shortform segments of Metan’s entertainment news magazine show Hello Hollywood.

The show offers Hollywood celebrity and lifestyle news through presenters in China and a correspondent in the US.

Its programming has also been added to eight networks across China, including broadcasters in the cities of Shenzhen and Guangzhou, potentially adding 200 million homes to Metan’s reach in China.
