Can a female ninja save her beloved younger sister from a horde of zombies?
Set in Japan during the Samurai period, this is the story of a female ninja who risks her life to fight zombies to save her sister.
It is 1630; the 150-year Warring States period has come to an end, and Japan is on the verge of entering a period of peace under the shogun.
A large number of human-like monsters suddenly appeared in a village. The shogunate names these zombies, whose skin was rotting and eyes bloodshot, “Gun-kyou”. When the zombies appear, the shogunate secretly dispatches a suppression team to exterminate them, burning the Gun-kyou and the surrounding area where they emerged.
In the far away village of Tako, where no one is aware of the incident, there is a woman named Orin who is living peacefully with Toki, her sister not related by blood.
One day, Orin travels to a distant doctor's house to get medicine to cure Toki's illness. But when she arrives, she finds the doctor's village covered in blood and human flesh everywhere. Then, heinously deformed zombies attack Orin. At that moment, Orin is vividly reminded of a painful memory from her past. Thus begins Orin’s epic journey to protect Toki.
Meanwhile, a young man named Shiro has become a zombie, but was still retaining his human consciousness. Shiro was captivated in a jail from his childhood and was suffering who he was and where he came from. Despite his deformation, Shiro was searching for a man to find out where his roots are.
When Orin and Shiro meet, the story takes an unexpected turn...
