In the heart of Valleby, best friends Lasse and Maja run a detective agency that takes on every kind of case - from mysterious fires to unexplained thefts. They love solving crimes and have even become a trusted resource for the town’s Chief of Police.

Valleby is filled with quirky characters: a priest in constant conversation with his “employers,” God and Jesus; café owners Sara Bernard and Dino Panini, clearly in love though they seem to be the last to realise it; the boisterous Englishman Ronny Hazelwood, struggling to keep his hotel afloat; jeweller Muhammed Karat, who throws longing glances at museum director Barbro Palm; and of course Chief Randolf Larsson - kind-hearted, a little slow, and dreaming of starting a dance band to relive the good old days.

Season 1 features The Fire Brigade Mystery, The School Mystery, The Fashion Mystery, The Church Mystery, The Hospital Mystery, and The Love Mystery.

In Season 2, it’s Christmas in Valleby, and new cases unfold - from suspicious newspaper articles to daring thefts and even a rival detective threatening the agency’s future. Familiar faces return with fresh challenges: a prison-stage New Year’s show, café romance troubles, birthday party plans, and an increasingly frazzled hotelier. This season includes The Swimming Badge Mystery, The Hotel Mystery, The Detective Mystery, The Newspaper Mystery, The Birthday Mystery, and The Prison Mystery.
