The Vasa, a legendary Swedish warship, sank just hours after embarking on its doomed maiden voyage in 1628. More than 3 centuries later, in 1961, the sunken wreck was salvaged almost completely intact. Now, divers are poised to plunge down to make new discoveries. Progress on DNA sample identification is enabling scientists to give a face to some of the crewmembers and bring them back to life for the first time.
