This film tells the story of those who lived 10 years ago through the Paris attacks of November 13, 2015, they are from the inside: survivors, the bereaved, first responders, residents of the affected neighborhoods, Parisians and people from across France.
It draws upon a selection of over 1,000 testimonies collected as part of the “13-11” research program, led by historian Denis Peschanski. We had privileged and exclusive access to the first three waves of interviews, conducted in 2016, 2018, and 2021.
Through diverse voices and sensibilities, this film helps construct a collective memory, a memory against forgetting. Against the silence that too often follows unspeakable acts. A memory not only of what happened in France ten years ago, but also of what echoes through other tragedies around the world
