Company overview

Founded in 1997 by president and producer Trish Dolman, Screen Siren Pictures is a premier independent production company known for high-quality, award-winning feature films, scripted television and documentary. Trish joined forces with veteran producer Christine Haebler (Monkey Man) in 2009 and with producer and COO, Steven Thibault (Monkey Man, Bombshell, Kin) to form the dynamite producing team that now leads the company. Collectively, our productions have screened at Cannes, Berlin, Sundance, TIFF and many other international festivals. With a focus on international co-productions and partnerships, we work with marquee cast and talented directors to make “media that changes the conversation.”

Recently Screen Siren produced Bones of Crows, a unique feature film and five-part series written and directed by Marie Clements for CBC, APTN and SRC and is being sold by Fifth Season. In 2023, it was released in Canadian theatres by Elevation Pictures becoming the highest-grossing feature film by an Indigenous woman director in Canadian history and the second highest-grossing film directed by an Indigenous director. The film and series have won more than 33 awards. In 2021, Screen Siren produced the Golden Globe-nominated feature French Exit with Michelle Pfeiffer which was released by Sony Classics and Sony Worldwide. And in 2018, the company released Indian Horse, based on Richard Wagamese’s award-winning novel which remains the highest-grossing English-Canadian film since its release and is a favourite on Netflix.

The company also produces a variety of award-winning and provocative documentaries and series including recent titles such as Revival69: The Concert that Rocked the World, British Columbia – An Untold History and The New Corporation: The Unfortunately Necessary Sequel. Screen Siren also service produced the hit documentary How To Rob A Bank for Netflix.

Screen Siren continues to build its operation and strengthen its reputation as a leader in the production of high-calibre Canadian film, television, and digital media.
