The lives of Maite, Guardia Civil Sargent, and Tomás, a retired Secondary School teacher, seem to have settled back to normal in Ferrol. Tomás’s debilitating illness continues advancing and Maite wants to be useful, but what Tomas needs is to find an intriguing new investigation that captures him as much as that of Cedeira´s Mayor murder case. Everything he comes across seems boring and obvious, including Maite’s new ongoing investigation about a missing person in Ferrol’s Arsenal, one of Spain’s most important and oldest navy bases. Thus, Maite enters a military world, an unknown universe for her, that has its own rules operating behind the walls that separate it from the city.
