Telmo, a young aspiring filmmaker, reaches the most remote part of the Amazon. He comes full of naive hope, romantic ideas, and a camera. He is aware of his ignorance and records his experience from day one.
Shortly after his arrival, a global pandemic cuts all access to the area, he becomes the only storyteller for the outside world. And right then, one of the largest oil spills ever in the region takes place. Telmo becomes a journalist; he films the disaster, and his video is even shared by Leonardo DiCaprio.
As Telmo goes into the jungle, his storytelling becomes deeper and more complex. It’s a journey into either madness or innocence; a dialogue between the surreal and the wild; between a reality that gradually becomes more mysterious and his filmic eye.
Witnessing poetic and absurd moments. He is both a silent observer and an astonished protagonist. By the end the film and Telmo matures, he is now a storyteller, and he decides to tell this story.
