Loulou
Loulou is a coming of age dramedy that shows a very distinct side of Arab youth—one that we typically don't reveal to the outside world.
Synopsis:
Loulou (The Talkies, Lebanon) is a coming of age dramedy that shows a very distinct side of Arab youth—one that we typically don't reveal to the outside world. The series boldly showcases an 18 year-old Saudi girl trying to make her music dreams come true while navigating her new life in the American University of Beirut. LOULOU accurately reflects reality, breaks social constructs and empowers the youth – it’s about self discovery and making the impossible possible. A universal story.
Today’s globalized world is hungry for engaging and inclusive cultural stories. With Loulou, we aim to both bring elevated content to the Middle East as well as share a genuine Arab story with the world, particularly the Arab diaspora. We believe there is a huge potential for such a show seeing the recent success of: Ramy, Mo and Al Rawabi School for Girls.
