This documentary series, filmed over six weeks, follows a group of junior doctors working in the Emergency Department for the very first time; learning on the job, doing procedures they’ve never done before and treating cases they’ve only read about in textbooks. They’ll have to face everything from life-and-death situations, to patients who present with a series of mystery symptoms and no clear diagnosis. The series is unflinching, witnessing the highs and lows the doctors face treating the never-ending stream of patients coming through their doors, capturing what it’s really like to work as a junior doctor on the NHS frontline.
