Our main protagonist, Jo, 36, works in a museum and lives in Athens. Under the influence of her conservative, typical Greek mother, Jo has cultivated an image of her future based on marriage, children, and traditional values. However, her world comes crashing down when her big love, the man she's waited for all her life, tells her he's marrying another woman.
After the initial shock of rejection, Jo comes across a feminist podcast and has a long-overdue epiphany: she’s spent her whole life waiting for the right man. She realizes she needs a new purpose in life. To find it, however, she must first build her confidence, learn to love her body, make meaningful friendships with other women, and focus on her career.
Will Jo settle in a more traditional women’s life, or will she finally rebel and go after what she truly wants in life?
