In 1863, Kyoto. When a kind-hearted boy Nio meets Toshizo Hijikata and Soji Okita, his destiny is forever changed. He decided to take an action because of his secret anger toward the unjust society, as well as his genuine and earnest wish to “make the world comfortable enough for children to cry at will.”
Nio grows as he tries to figure out what “justice” means, even when sometimes his own powerlessness makes him devastated and brutal truths make him shiver.
