Smart, sassy and unapologetically obligated to do the right thing, she’s forced to make a return to her briefly glorious stint at the Bar after her small solicitor’s practice goes up in smoke at the hands of a disgruntled client.

With her marriage collapsing and motherhood fast losing its charm, she is persuaded to join the prestigious Knox Chambers by an old (and seductive) law school colleague and not-so-secret admirer, Lewis Hughes (Toby Schmitz, Crownies).

But despite finding quick success in her crumpled barrister’s robes, Josephine still feels an obligation to her former employees and clients and covertly reopens her old office downstairs in the well-to-do chambers carpark. Reincarnated as Chatterjee and Chatterjee Solicitors, Josephine quickly finds herself pulled between her new high-flying career upstairs and her old practice, conveniently located just ten storeys below.
