Wild Cards is a blue-sky procedural with a comedic twist that follows the unlikely duo of Max (VANESSA MORGAN), a spirited, clever con woman, and Ellis (GIACOMO GIANNIOTTI), a by-the-book, sardonic cop. Despite their differences, the pair is assigned to work together, making a surprisingly effective team solving cases that had stumped the police department. Using Max’s sharp instincts and people skills (not to mention creative disguises) and Ellis’ experienced and intelligent detective work, their success earns him his job back to detective and she avoids jail time as part of the deal. While their relationship is not without conflict, they are finally starting to trust each other...and maybe even feel something more.
