Mandarin’s Secret unpeeled in Belgium

A Very Secret Service

A Belgian pay TV and SVoD operator has become the first to pick up a drama about the life of a French secret agent during the 1950s and 60s.

A Very Secret Service (12×26′), commissioned by Arte France, was produced by French prodco Mandarin and has been picked up in Belgium by Skynet.

It follows the agent as he falls in love while attempting to find out about communism in the US and forging ties in Germany, and is sold globally by boutique financing and distribution firm About Premium Content (APC).

APC’s slate also includes thriller Contact, from French producer CarmaFlms, and Valkyrien, the Norwegian series produced by Tordenfilm for NRK and written by showrunner Erik Richter Strand (Occupied).
