YouTube multi-channel network Maker said during its NewFront presentation to advertisers yesterday that it would be collaborating with Marvel on original digital content and programming based on “Marvel lore and current releases.”

“Being part of the Walt Disney Company, the world’s largest media organisation, has given us access to some of the most beloved brands and franchises in the universe,” said Ynon Kreiz, president of Maker Studios.

Marvel’s extensive list of superhero characters includes Spider-Man, Hulk and Iron Man.

Further details on the partnership are yet to be announced. Elsewhere, Maker Studios said it would also be working with other Disney-owned brands such as ESPN and ABC Family on original content.
