Lyle takes up Nat Geo post

Former Fox Look president David Lyle has been handed a new interim role at sister company National Geographic Channels.

Lyle, whose format exploitation unit was closed earlier this month, as revealed by C21, will now head a West Coast development office at Nat Geo.

The role will see him work with Bridget Whalen Hunnicutt, who has been promoted to senior VP of global development and who will continue to report to exec VP of global content Steve Burns.

At the same time, Charlie Parsons has been named VP of global development and Michael Mavretic and Shannon Malone have been promoted to directors of global development.

“Our very talented development team is a force within the non-fiction arena and already has highly productive relationships with top producers around the world as well as the West Coast,” said Nat Geo Channels US president Steve Schiffman.

“Now with the help of Mr Lyle and our new LA office, we will be able to expand our pipeline into the epicenter of the entertainment industry to further merge their capabilities with the trust and qualities of our amazing brand.”
