Canadian cable operator Videotron has become the latest company to offer Blue Ant Media’s channel Love Nature in 4K resolution.

The network, which had previously been available in lower resolution, will offer exclusive wildlife and nature series including the Canadian premieres of 4K series Deadly Australia, Mysteries of the Mekong and Australia’s Hidden Islands.

The Big Dry, Africa’s Hunters, Tales From Zambia and the first two seasons of Great Blue Wild will also be available.

Jamie Schouela, exec VP for Canadian networks at Blue Ant, said the channel launch “reinforces our commitment to meet the growing demand for 4K television in Canada by giving viewers a front row seat to the breathtaking vistas and fascinating animal stories we produce for our Love Nature brand.”

Blue Ant began stepping up its production of factual programming shot in 4K in 2015 and has rolled out its Love Nature channel around the world, including in Asia late last year.

The channel launched as an SVoD service, available via an app in countries such as the UK, Australia, Germany, Mexico, New Zealand and Switzerland, earlier this year.
