Love exec takes Shiver development role

ITV Studios’ factual label Shiver has hired an executive from The Great British Bake Off producer Love Productions as head of development.

Aidan Hansell will report to Shiver’s group creative director Ana De Moraes who is overseeing the label’s development strategy with MD Tim Carter.

Hansell will lead the new development team in London and Manchester. He was appointed head of development at Love in 2016 and has since worked on Channel 4 shows including Be Your Own Doctor and The Biggest Little Railway in the World.

Prior to that, Hansell was head of development at Endemol Shine-owned Darlow Smithson and BBC Studios Consumer & Live, where he was responsible for programmes such as Watchdog Test House and Making Cars Live.

As a senior development producer at Wall to Wall, he developed series including Turn Back Time: The High Street and The Young Ones.

His appointment follows a restructure of the senior team at Shiver, which saw De Moraes arrive from Twofour in January shortly after Carter arrived from Twenty Twenty as MD.
