Looking Glass reflects on rhinos

Save This Rhino follows England cricketer Kevin Pietersen to South Africa

Australia-based factual distributor Looking Glass International (LGI) is preparing to take shows about the plight of rhinos and the life of Michelle Obama to MipTV next month.

Save This Rhino (2×60’), produced by THIS Film Studio, features former England cricket player Kevin Pietersen as he visits South Africa to explore the problem of poaching.

UK indie Entertain Me is behind documentary Michelle Obama: From Hope To Change (1×60’), which retraces her journey from a working-class family on the south side of Chicago to the first family in the White House, and beyond.

It is joined by the second season of Log Cabin Fever from 1895 Films, which was commissioned by Discovery Communications and aired on its lifestyle channel Great American Country in December.

Elsewhere, Pango Productions’ Spiky Gold Hunters (6×60’) follows divers as they fish for sea urchins, while Village to Villa (13×30’), from Village to Villa Productions, follows the international travels of two pet and house sitters.

LGI’s slate also includes Gladesmen: The Last of the Sawgrass Cowboys (1×90’), about the US federal government’s ban on Florida’s iconic airboats in much of the Everglades, and from David Abel & Andy Laub Production.
