Loesch joins GBI board

Margaret Loesch, the former president and CEO of US kids’ network The Hub, has joined the board of directors at US children’s content firm Genius Brands International (GBI).

Loesch left The Hub, now known as Discovery Family Channel, when her contract ended at the end of last year. The channel subsequently underwent a rebrand, after Discovery Communications took a controlling stake.

The TV veteran joins GBI board directors including the company’s CEO Andy Heyward, president Amy Moynihan Heyward and Gray Davis, the former governor of California.

A former exec VP at Hanna-Barbera and CEO of Marvel Production, Loesch has also previously held roles at The Jim Henson Company, Fox Kids Network Worldwide and Hallmark Channel US.

GBI’s brands include Secret Millionaires Club with Warren Buffett, Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab and Stan Lee’s Mighty 7.
