Two Russian broadcasters have picked up rights to UK children’s series Olly the Little White Van.

Karusel and Ani have acquired rights to the first four seasons of the show and will start airing it in Russian immediately.

Olly the Little White Van has already notched up 75 million views on YouTube in Russia and Henry Becket, CEO at Olly Ltd, said the deal would “lay fantastic foundations for the launch of a range of toys, books and merchandising later in the year.”

Becket linked up with Little Dot Studios in April to develop a dedicated YouTube channel for the show’s characters.

Meanwhile, Olly Ltd, which launched a joint venture in India last year, has also forged a partnership with European Television Services in Milan to develop the brand in key EMEA markets,initially focusing on Italy.
